Medical emergencies are no picnic for anyone, but should one happen to you or a loved one, it’s important to know where you can receive the best, most efficient care. At Maimonides Midwood Community Hospital, we put a premium on high-quality treatment, prompt service and compassionate care in our Emergency Department, and it begins before you even get to the hospital.
Our Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulances are fully integrated into the city-wide 911 system and operated by qualified Emergency Medical Technicians, who deliver care on-site and on the way to the hospital. Patients are usually seen within 15 minutes of their arrival, virtually eliminating long stays in the waiting room.
