The division of vascular surgery is routinely employing advanced surgical techniques, including endovascular approaches, to treat the wide spectrum of arterial and venous disease.

The division has special expertise in carotid artery surgery for the prevention of strokes, in the management of abdominal aneurysms to prevent life-threatening rupture, and in restoring circulation in lower extremities to avoid the disability associated with amputation or severe leg pain. The Vascular Division also has extensive experience in the management of venous disease and dialysis access surgery.

The philosophy of the Vascular Service is to work closely with all members of the healthcare team to identify patients with vascular disease at an early stage through advanced diagnostic procedures, in order to optimize the effectiveness of treatment.
